The AEPlans™ public Bid Site service was designed to make project documents available to anyone free of charge. Any user, including plan rooms or other distribution services, may obtain downloads for re-distribution by visiting the Bid Site. The Website User Guide provides the new user with information on getting started.
- To enter the project area, select the Register/Login button from any page of the site (on your initial visit you must go through the registration process).
- In order to view documents you will need a copy of the free MaxReader and AEPlans Internet Download Manager. Depending on how specification sections have been stored you will also need additional viewers, i.e; Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, etc. Visiting the Downloads & Links tab will provide you with further information about obtaining - FREE viewers for these products.
- All projects on the AEPlans Bid Site contain a MaxView master file (.maxfr extension), along with the image files and other document types files that may be included in a bid project. This master file launches from within your installed copy of the AEPlans Internet Download Manager.
- Each AEPlans Bid Site project contains Smart Document technology, which enables your workstation copy of the free MaxReader with extended Secure MaxTakeOff tools for use with the project. This includes advanced printing and screen-based takeoff tools with the ability to save counts and measurements during a session. You can also verify the integrity and authenticity of project documents and check digital signatures.
- Although the access and use of project information is designed to be intuitive and straightforward to a user with modest computer knowledge, a thorough understanding of the capabilities of AEPlans and MaxView tools will be helpful in getting the most out of this site and the information it contains.
