POSITION: Technical Sales Support Representative
Job Family: Business Development Group
General Summary:
Training and support of end users via telephone or online meetings, in the effective use of AEPlans applications, services and tools. Operating from a central AEPlans location in support of end users in a variety of areas or territories.
Essential Job Functions:
- All aspects of customer implementation and training.
- Oversee customer issues to ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.
- Works as a team with Regional Business Development Managers to proactively seek business by placing calls to current and prospective customers setting up demonstration appointments.
- Will call current and prospective customers to inform them of special events, invitations, trade shows, and any promotional events.
- Maintains sales calendars and updates to the Goldmine database.
- Become familiar with construction industry bidding concepts and practices.
- Takes overflow of inbound calls related to technical support and account services as needed.
Essential Job Qualifications:
- Be computer literate; be proficient at using computer technology in the course of day-to-day activities. (Email, Word, Spreadsheet Reporting, Power Point and Go To Meeting Presentations, etc.)
- Have excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
- Be familiar with Windows application installation and able to quickly learn to install, use and demonstrate AEPlans applications, website operations and user tools.
- Possess a confident, friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Exceptional follow-through and multi-tasking skills; thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Be disciplined, self-motivated and keenly interested in a career path leading towards a selling environment.
Desirable Job Qualifications:
- Previous Internet service or sales experience preferable in the construction industry.
- Construction estimating or project management experience.
- CAD knowledge or experience.
- Combination of applicable formal and informal educational qualifications.

POSITION: Business Development Representative
Job Family: Business Development Group
General Summary:
Reporting to the Business Development Area Manager, AEPlans is looking for results-oriented candidates to develop and maintain existing accounts in an assigned geographic sales area. You must be comfortable with calling on high profile, successful people and have the ability to convey a concept to professionals. Successful candidates will organize their call schedule and execute with little supervision. Basic computer skills are required to perform presentations, software demonstrations and website training.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage an assigned geographic sales area and develop new accounts to maximize sales revenues, meet quota and accurately forecast revenue streams.
- Demonstrate strong relationship building skills and excellent customer service skills to provide a high-level, direct client contact with Architects, Engineers and Owners.
- Accurately maintain notes and forecast information in Contact Management software.
- Inform and educate the Construction Community through direct sales calls, presentations or seminars about AEPlans solutions. This may be through presentations at association meetings, individually at construction firms, or to University students in Construction and Building Design, and Architecture in the assigned marketing territory. Co-ordinate training with AEPlans support staff to ensure that general contractor and sub-contractor users are familiar with our products.

POSITION: Business Development Area Manager
AEPlans is looking for energetic, hardworking and dynamic individuals to develop and maintain specific AEPlans territories. This will include work with project owners, architects and engineers to help them learn the benefits and processes involved in using our electronic bid listing and collaborative Internet websites.
The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills as well as a good technical grasp of contemporary design tools and processes used in creating construction project plans and specifications.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting personal, Internet and telephone-based presentations of overview/benefits for project owners, architect, engineer and users as required,
- Provide direction and assistance to any assigned Business Development Rep,
- Evaluating user posting requirements, providing quotations and closing new listings agreements,
- Working with association partners to promote and educate in the benefits of AEPlans products and services,
- Maintaining detailed computerized activity records and developing accurate regular business forecasts.
Skills and Requirements:
- Familiarity with CAD systems as well as other common document creation and Internet technologies,
- Excellent interpersonal, telephone, written and organizational skills,
- Ability to learn quickly so as to become knowledgeable in all products and their use,
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently and willing to take responsibility for follow-through and achievement of results.
