The Louisiana Chapter of the AIA formed AEPlans, Ltd. (AEPlans ™) as a Louisiana for -profit corporation in 2002 to address the document distribution needs of design professionals and their project owners in the construction industry.
The company owns and operates the aeplans.com web site upon which its core services are offered to project owners and the design professional community. AEPlans makes its services available directly to design professionals or through local associations and other organizations that participate in its promotion and provide educational facilities on a local level.
AEPlans works very closely with MaxView Corporation, its technology partner for the development and ongoing support of its web site and accompanying document authoring and viewing software requirements. MaxView has established a significant presence in the construction document distribution industry through major clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Air Force as well as many commercial distribution service providers.
AEPlans is headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Corporate administration and regional marketing is located in Everett, Washington, with other facilities located in Texas and Virginia.
